SUCCESSFUL & ENGAGED STUDENTS...

• Participate in lessons and collaborate with classmates
• Remain logged on during all instruction
• Check Google Classroom and school email daily
• Use WCPS equipment as outlined in the Acceptable Use Policy
• Follow all WCPS Policies & Procedures including the WCPS Code of Conduct
• Contact teachers if additional support or clarification is needed
• Attend live in-person assessments, as required
• Have cameras on with entire face visible using blurred backgrounds
• Are fully dressed and in an appropriate, quiet space for classes

SUPPORTIVE & ENGAGED PARENT/GUARDIANS....

• Support regular attendance
• Ensure reliable internet for daily use
• Provide students with a suitable & quiet space with limited distractions for class
• Create a consistent daily schedule with meals, breaks, activity, & down time
• Communicate with teachers to support students
• Ensure that students are on time for classes and attend regularly
• Ensure student materials are picked-up on material exchange days
• Provide transportation for students to attend mandatory state/local testing
• Check student progress regularly on APEX, Google Classroom, & ParentVUE
• Ensure that WCPS has updated parent phone numbers and email addresses
• Contact school when students are sick or unable to attend class
• Encourage students to stay in touch with friends
